Sodexo is responsible for extensive track operations in Västra Götaland where we ensure clean, safe, and welcoming trains for thousands of passengers, around the clock. Our teams handle everything from cleaning and vehicle maintenance to ongoing quality checks and emergency interventions when vehicles need to be turned around quickly in traffic. The operation is dynamic, eventful, and socially important – and you will become a key person in keeping it running every day. About the role As a shift supervisor with us, no two days are the same. You lead a team of approximately 30–40 employees and work closely with daily operations to ensure our deliveries maintain high quality. You are present in the workplace, support your team members, and are there when things happen – both in planned and more unexpected situations. You work together with the operations manager, planners, and coordinators and are responsible for several locations including Skövde, Falköping, Mariestad, Lidköping, and Uddevalla. Work hours vary and include evenings and nights, since our operations run around the clock, every day of the year. Travel between locations is included. You are responsible for: Leading, coaching, and developing team members Ensuring staffing, work environment, and safety Driving and developing operations in close collaboration with employees Following up on quality and building strong customer relationships Providing employees with opportunities to grow in their roles Handling some administration such as planning, timekeeping, and system work We are looking for someone who: Has experience leading in a service or operations environment Enjoys meeting people and is motivated by coaching others Is comfortable working operationally close to the business and making quick decisions Has experience working in systems and administrative tasks Has a solution-oriented mindset and enjoys a fast pace Is flexible and comfortable with varied working hours – including evenings and nights Holds a B driving license and has access to your own vehicle Has experience from the rail, transport, or automotive industry (advantageous) Has good English language skills (advantageous) To thrive with us You need to be someone who enjoys being out in the operation, meeting employees, creating a sense of security, and ensuring work runs smoothly.
