The Position and Responsibilities As Head Cook, you are an important part of daily operations in the facility's kitchen. You lead and organize daily kitchen work and ensure quality in production. You monitor that budget and results meet established targets and develop meal services at the unit with support from a centrally employed nutrition strategist. Together with colleagues, you contribute to providing a welcoming and pleasant meal for each child and student. You prepare nutritious, safe, and high-quality meals according to Botkyrka Municipality's standards. Your role includes working according to the unit's self-monitoring program and following the municipality's objectives and the unit's established goals, governing documents, and policies. Your cooking duties include preparing special diets and adapted meals, ordering food and other products, and performing other typical large-scale kitchen tasks such as salad preparation, arranging and serving meals, receiving and unpacking goods, washing dishes, and keeping kitchen facilities clean and organized. You want to develop your skills by staying current in your profession and participating in various training initiatives offered by the employer. When needed, you participate in parent meetings and inform about meals offered and how kitchen operations work. What We're Looking For Requirements: education, experience, knowledge - Chef training or validated as a chef. - Experience with meal production in a large-scale kitchen and team leadership - Documented training and experience in food hygiene and self-monitoring - Good knowledge of and experience with special diets and adapted meals, such as vegetarian cooking - Good digital skills - Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
