The Anesthesia and Operating Department in Hässleholm primarily works with elective orthopedic procedures on the entire musculoskeletal system. Joint replacement procedures in the knee, hip, and shoulder are among our specialties, but we also perform other procedures such as spinal surgery, sports injuries, hand and foot surgery, and dental treatment under anesthesia. As an anesthesia nurse, you will work with perioperative care and with typical duties of an anesthesia nurse in the operating department. We work in teams with various professions and patient flow is high. There is the opportunity to vary departmental work with preoperative reception work at our anesthesia clinic. Since our business unit is a university healthcare facility, Center of Excellence, anesthesia nurses with interest in research are offered the opportunity to join our research and development team. Ambition levels are high and we strive toward our common goal of becoming a personal hospital at the forefront that delivers world-class quality. - Most of our patients follow a fast-track protocol and are anesthetized with TCI, target controlled infusion, using Ultiva and Propofol. We also participate in the hospital's emergency response chain where we assess and treat acutely ill patients. Here we work very independently, says Linda, anesthesia nurse. Operating activities are conducted during daytime Monday to Friday; anesthesia nurses are on duty around the clock to assist with acute situations at the hospital. This position is for daytime hours Monday to Friday. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare and who have specialist training in anesthesiology. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. We see previous experience in anesthesiology as an asset. To thrive in the role, it is of great importance that you enjoy working in a team and contribute to effective collaboration even when the pace is high. The work also requires that you take personal responsibility and show commitment. You have good self-awareness, are unpretentious and flexible.
