At the Department of Data and Electrical Engineering, education is offered in data technology, electronics, electrical engineering, and sound production. Research at the department is conducted at the research center Sensible Things that Communicate (www.miun.se/stc) and focuses on sensor-based systems and services for use in Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. Job Responsibilities The main duties consist of tutoring and grading assignments in the distance-based web development program. The relevant courses are: DT224G – Introduction to Web Development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, DT200G – Graphic Technology for the Web, and DT068G – Web Usability. Qualifications The person hired as a teaching assistant must meet the requirements described in Mid Sweden University's employment regulations. Eligible for employment as a teaching assistant is a person who is admitted to education at the basic or advanced level. Additionally, you must have completed at least 40 credits in data technology. You have good oral and written proficiency in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have previous teaching experience, and particularly in distance education. You should have good collaboration skills while being able to take independent responsibility. Selection Criteria Selection will be based on your academic merits, experience, and suitability in relation to the courses to be tutored. Processing Preparation of the employment follows the procedures specified in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance and continues in accordance with Mid Sweden University's employment regulations. Employment and Start Date The position comprises one or more positions at 10-30% of full-time during all or part of the period. Start date September 1, 2026, or by agreement, but no later than January 31, 2027. The employment may be renewed in accordance with Chapter 5, Section 12 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100).
