The Sami School Board is a state agency with its main office in Jåhkåmåhkke, staffed with a school principal, controllers, HR personnel, and administrative staff. Sameskolan is an educational form equivalent to primary school, offering instruction from preschool class through grade 6. Teaching is based on Sami culture and the Sami language according to the Sami School curriculum. The Sami School Board also operates preschools in agreement with respective municipalities. The Sami School Board has activities in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna. The Sami School Board provides distance education in the Sami languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sami instruction. 2 position(s). DUTIES Pool position at the Sami School in Gällivare and Skierri Preschool. You will work at the school, after-school center, and preschool. Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in accordance with primary school guidelines and from a Sami perspective, both individually and as part of a work team. Actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the school. Work together with staff in other duties at the after-school center. QUALIFICATIONS You must be able to work in preschool, after-school care, and school as a substitute. You must be fluent in Sami—spoken, written—and have knowledge of Sami culture and tradition. You should have a strong ability to listen to our students' needs, interests, and wishes. We expect you to be flexible. You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships as well as the ability to prevent and resolve potential conflicts with students. You must have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and parents. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with documented strong collaboration skills. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 6 months or longer.
