He does not have verbal language and communicates through body language and sounds. Therefore, you need to be attentive to different signals, calm, and able to interpret body language. His mood can change quickly, and as a personal assistant, you need to be alert to quickly and smoothly redirect frustration. During the day, the boy attends school without his personal assistant. After school, you will mainly work at the boy's home with his family. Therefore, it is important that you are good at communicating, have a respectful demeanor, and strong empathetic abilities. The boy is primarily fed through a feeding tube and requires supervision due to severe epilepsy. The work is based on respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity. It is desirable that you have knowledge of child development, are pedagogical, somewhat creative, and enjoy trying different activities with the boy to support his development. Experience with personal assistance and epilepsy is meritable, but personal suitability and care experience will be weighted most heavily.
