Kungsängsgymnasiet in beautiful Sala is seeking a dedicated and competent vocational instructor in electrical engineering as one of our electrical instructors is retiring. As an electrical instructor at Kungsängsgymnasiet, you will work closely with two colleagues within the electrical program and have a strong interest in teaching upper secondary students in both practical and theoretical components. About the Workplace Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as an Introduction Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and we have received support from the Swedish National Agency for Education's "Collaboration for Better Schools" initiative for three years. Students feel safe and enjoy being at school, which is reflected in our safety surveys, and we have a high proportion of qualified teachers. Duties As a vocational instructor in our Electrical and Energy Program, you will have an important role in giving students a good start in the industry. You plan and lead instruction both in our workshop environments and at workplaces, together with engaged colleagues and partners in the professional world. We are a small school with short decision-making paths where you have good opportunities to influence how the education develops. About You We are looking for someone with experience from the Electrical and Energy industry who wants to be part of training the professional experts of the future. You may be a trained vocational instructor or have a relevant professional background and wish to take the step into the teaching role; what is most important is your dedication, your professional expertise, and your desire to see young people succeed. The position is a permanent, full-time employment where you teach and mentor students in courses within the Electrical and Energy Program. You will be an important and driving force in shaping students' path toward working life, both in instruction and as a mentor. We would like to see that you enjoy combining practical components with theory and that you have a structured way of guiding students forward. You collaborate closely with both colleagues and the industry, and with us you get to be part of the important development work as we build an attractive program. Qualifications Vocational instructor certification with authorization at upper secondary level as an electrical instructor. Alternatively, you have an upper secondary education in electrical engineering and several years of professional experience as an electrician that the employer considers equivalent. Requirement for driver's license category B. Meritorious Knowledge of workplace-based learning (APL) Good local knowledge and contacts within the industry Terms of Employment 100% permanent Individual salary determination Start date 260810 or by agreement Requirement for background check upon job offer.
