The Gymnasium and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, financial assistance, reception of newly arrived immigrants and quota refugees, as well as upper secondary school, adult education, and internship programs. 1 position(s). About the Workplace The school moved in the summer of 2024 to new facilities and is now part of Huddinge Gymnasium. This includes, among other things, brand new and well-equipped rooms for teaching in electrical subjects. The Electrical and Energy Program at Sjödals Gymnasium has two classes per year group with 17 students in each class. The school has well-established industry contacts, and Sjödals Gymnasium's education in the Electrical and Energy Program has a good reputation in the industry. Work Tasks We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for advancing our electrical and energy program and take on significant responsibility for program development. You should therefore have good leadership qualities and experience developing instruction and working as, for example, a team leader or similar previously. If we assess that you meet the Swedish National Agency for Education's criteria for senior lecturer, there are opportunities for this to be combined in this position. The senior lecturer assignment is formulated with school management based on the school's development needs and applies for three years. The position is 100% and involves teaching electrical subjects in the Electrical and Energy Program. You are also a mentor for a class (16 students). The school is organized in program teams that work closely together regarding the students. The program team works to find common strategies and create good conditions for students' learning and development. Mentorship is an important part of the assignment, and you are expected to act quickly when difficulties arise by contacting parents and the school's student support team. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis for rapid employment. Six months' probationary employment may occur. Your Profile You are a trained electrician with documented education. You have 5 years of experience as a building electrician or alarm installer. Experience with teaching and teacher certification is highly desirable. You are a clear leader who is confident and stable in your professional role. You have an easy time establishing good relationships with young people, which we see as a prerequisite for successful teaching. You also value creating good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and electrical industry companies (apprenticeship companies). You are structured, solution-focused, and experienced in using ICT. It is important that you have knowledge of the requirements and guidelines set by the electrical industry's central professional board (ECY) for obtaining electrical certificates and the path to becoming a certified electrician, as well as knowledge of regulations governing electrical installation and electrical safety. You also have knowledge/experience with Electrical Authorization AB HL: high voltage low voltage or AB L: low voltage. Why Huddinge?
