We hope you will enjoy working with us! Vocational Instructor for Building Education – House Building Do you want to help educate the future skilled workers in the construction industry? Uddevalla Adult Education's building program is an industry-recommended school recognized by the construction industry's professional board (BYN). We are now seeking an engaged and knowledgeable vocational instructor specializing in house building/carpenter work. About the Education The building program at Uddevalla Adult Education offers training in the following professional paths: Carpenter Flooring Specialist Tile Layer Glass Technician All paths are in apprenticeship form, which means students spend at least 70% of their education time at a company. We work closely with the industry and place great emphasis on our students receiving solid vocational training with a focus on knowledge, safety, quality, and professional ethics. Duties As a vocational instructor, you will: Plan, conduct instruction, and assess and evaluate student performance in accordance with applicable curriculum standards. Support and guide students in their learning and development. Develop and adapt educational materials to meet students' diverse needs. Work in close collaboration with industry representatives to ensure the education is relevant and current. Visit students at their work-based learning sites and conduct three-party meetings. Guide and support students in their individual learning process, creating a positive and educational atmosphere. Collaborate with the industry and other education providers to keep educational content current and relevant. Participate in and contribute to the development of the program by sharing your experiences and insights. Who Are We Looking For? You have students at the center and want to help each student reach their goals. You are responsible, flexible, and have strong collaboration skills. As a person, you are clear, organized, and have a good ability to create security and a productive learning environment. We also value that you are creative, solution-focused, and interested in school development and improved goal achievement. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Completed/started vocational instructor training Strong professional skills in the construction industry Experience from professional life in house building or related areas Preferably a broad network within the construction industry Good ability to work with digital tools and sees digital technology as a natural part of instruction Industry contacts and experience from relevant professional life are highly meritious. Other Information Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the recruitment period. Employment is subject to required decisions being made.
