The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, school daycare, upper secondary school, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and special education for adults. Within the administration, glass craftsmanship education is provided through Riksglasskolan in Pukeberg, as well as contract training and vocational higher education programs. The Learning and Culture Administration also manages libraries, cultural school, cultural centers with cinema, youth center activities, and general cultural matters. The Learning and Culture Administration has just over 850 employees and an annual budget of approximately 580 million Swedish crowns. The administration is organized into operational areas, each led by an operational manager for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, and adult education respectively, as well as the culture unit. The administration is led by an administrative manager who is also the school principal. We at Nybro Adult Education are seeking a substitute colleague for Riksglasskolan in Pukeberg for the fall. Nybro Adult Education has approximately 450 students enrolled in one of our programs. We provide distance education at basic and upper secondary level through NTI, SFI, and Komvux, as well as adapted education at basic and upper secondary level. Through vocational adult education, we offer care and welfare education, glass craftsmanship and design, as well as heavy and passenger transport. Riksglasskolan is also included, offering vocational higher education in addition to vocational adult education, where we provide design and art glass. At adult education, we are approximately 25 employees with various areas of expertise, all with the primary task of ensuring our students receive the best possible educational journey. We work closely together and good collaboration skills are necessary. We have facilities at Långgatan 13 in Nybro where we have our office, learning center, and most of our educational programs. We also have facilities in Pukeberg and at Kraftvägen 2. Riksglasskolans team consists of five employees who together teach approximately 40 students. 1 position(s). DUTIES The work tasks are directly related to hands-on instruction in glassblowing. As part of the team at Riksglasskolan, you will work together with experienced staff to teach and assist students in manual glass craftsmanship. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with experience in glassblowing and practical knowledge of glass equipment. It is an advantage if you also have competence in post-processing in grinding/finishing. You should have good pedagogical ability, be conscientious, enjoy challenges, respect students' differences, have the ability to see possibilities, and have good collaboration skills. Since we are an international school, instruction is conducted partly in English. Employment type: Fixed-term position. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-10, end date: 2026-10-30.
