Spånga C has many bus lines available to our area. Solhemsskolan is a four-parallel F-6 school with approximately 760 students and 105 employees. Solhemsskolan consists of two school units, Solhemsskolan and Solhemsängens skola. The school leadership consists of a principal and three assistant principals plus an administrative manager. Your Role As a special education teacher, you primarily work in close collaborative guidance with the responsible classroom teachers. You guide students based on their needs and support teachers in finding complementary tools and methods for successful teaching. Students' knowledge and abilities are assessed in various ways throughout the school year, and your complementary expertise in special education and counseling/advisory work is crucial for optimal student learning development! As a special education teacher: • You are part of our special education team that regularly holds its own meetings and meetings with school leadership. • You contribute to the entire school's development in the accessibility area. • You are a natural part of student welfare work and you participate in and lead conversations with guardians and students when and where needed. • You have expertise to screen/assess students' knowledge development in various areas. • You work with students in classrooms, individually or in small groups. Who you work with and where in the organization varies based on student needs. Our development work includes a special focus on ensuring our expertise is where the students are – that is, in the classroom. You are experienced with a professional approach and have strong didactic and pedagogical ability. You have knowledge of relevant digital tools and experience writing pedagogical assessments and intervention plans. The school is engaged in development work where special education teachers collaborate with lead teachers to develop student achievement in mathematics and language development. Your Competence and Experience We seek you who have teacher certification and a special education teacher degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians. You are attentive, independent, and have strong collaboration skills. You also have a good ability to structure and analyze your work to then be part of intervention efforts. We seek you with: - a well-grounded view of students and knowledge based on the current curriculum. - strong knowledge of students' different needs in the learning environment and how to remove barriers. - advanced knowledge of reading and writing difficulties. - ability to independently drive student matters forward. - knowledge and insight into the importance of good collaboration between students, parents, school staff, and school leadership. As a special education teacher, you participate with the student welfare team in the school's operational development and as support for leadership in working with students in need of special support. Work experience as a special education teacher is a requirement. It is a merit if you have worked as a special education teacher for grades F-3 and if you have experience with language and knowledge development work methods and screening work.
