About the operation: The Culture School in Vallentuna teaches children and young people in instruments, singing, choir, music production, dance, theater, musical, visual arts and design, creative writing, and the FMT method. Teaching takes place during students' leisure time in the Culture School's own facilities or in some cases in primary school facilities. The Culture School is part of the Culture and Recreation Administration together with libraries, other cultural activities such as Vallentuna Culture House, Vallentuna Theater, and the municipality's work with art and cultural environments, Youth and Active Recreation, and the sports and outdoor unit. Responsibilities: The position involves teaching children and young people aged 6-19 in piano and ensemble, as well as accompanying students, choirs, and ensembles at concerts and other events. You will participate in various working groups and processes to develop a relevant and inspiring culture school. The position consists mainly of teaching in semester courses in afternoons and evenings. Weekend work occurs. Qualifications: You have music teacher training or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have piano as your main instrument and have broad genre knowledge. You have documented experience teaching children and young people at different levels in a culture school or other activity that the employer deems equivalent. You have good IT skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. Meriting factors: You have good knowledge of classical music as well as pop, rock, and jazz. You have experience with outreach activities. You have good knowledge and experience in group teaching. Personal qualities: You work toward results, demonstrate reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work. You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information. You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative. You are the link, provide service, show loyalty internally and externally, and monitor the external environment.
