The Food and Facilities Management Unit is part of the Department for Children and Education. The department has approximately 800 employees. The department's operations span the entire municipality and include preschools, primary schools grades F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and facilities management, mother tongue instruction, and library services. Approximately 80 employees work in the food unit. The food unit handles meal preparation for preschools, schools, special residential facilities, and meal boxes for home care services. The municipality has 38 production and serving kitchens where approximately 3,500 portions are produced daily. Blomstergården is a preparation kitchen where approximately 40 portions per meal are produced—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—as well as approximately 60 meal portions for residents who receive meal distribution services. The kitchen team at Blomstergården consists of a supervising cook, an assistant supervising cook, and 2 cook's assistants. A day as a cook with supervisory responsibilities at Blomstergården You are responsible for daily operations, safe food handling, conducting self-inspections, and ensuring the kitchen and equipment are managed according to applicable guidelines. It is important that you contribute to and work toward a good work environment and that your colleagues feel involved. The role requires good administrative abilities. Operations are run with an economic mindset, where food orders are placed and invoices are paid. Your qualifications We are looking for someone who has completed a 3-year upper secondary education in hotel and restaurant management, or has equivalent experience with similar work tasks. Requirement for good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Good computer skills are advantageous. As a person, you are flexible, self-directed, thorough, and positive. You have an easy time collaborating and have a solution-focused work approach. With a strong service mindset, great commitment, and good communication skills, you always put the meal guest at the center.
