JOB DUTIES As a painter, you are offered a varied day where you meet many people in work with freedom within the scope of the assignment. The role involves you working in a closely collaborative team with high job satisfaction. You also work closely with other industry colleagues such as technicians, carpenters, electricians, and property caretakers, as well as maintaining close contact with our operations and customers. The painters work with all types of painting work within the municipality's real estate portfolio. Painting work occurs both indoors and outdoors on walls, ceilings, woodwork (doors/windows), and facades using brushes, rollers, and/or spray. Wallpaper and fabric installation occurs, and other property-related work may also be involved. Work as a painter requires good material knowledge, the ability to choose the right type of paint and materials for different surfaces and environments, and high precision where cleaning, scraping, sanding, and spackling of surfaces are prerequisites for achieving a good final result. Our properties and operations range from schools, preschools, and group homes to recreational facilities, which provides a wonderfully varied work environment. On-call work may occur in the position. QUALIFICATIONS As an applicant, you have approved training as a painter with upper secondary education followed by an apprenticeship period and a journeyman certificate, or other equivalent training adequate for the assignment. You also have previous experience as a painter, or experience that the employer considers equivalent for the assignment. As a person, you contribute to good collaboration with both colleagues and customers. You have a solution-oriented approach, are thorough, and have good customer service skills that you practice in your profession toward customers. Good computer skills and use of electronic tools are advantageous, as both computers and smartphones are important work tools in daily work. A class B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent.
