We are seeking a substitute social worker for our intensive investigation team
Description:
Do you have ideas for the future and are you driven by challenges? In Haninge, you will develop together with secure colleagues who want to make a difference today. Right now, one of the most ambitious change initiatives in our municipality's history is underway. We are building a new city, approximately 20 minutes from Söder. Join us on our journey. Welcome to develop with us Haninge is a municipality at the forefront. During 2023, we were one of the first municipalities to establish a first and second-line social service, a step in our adaptation for the future social service and the new social service act. Within the second-line social service, children's area, we meet children and families who are assessed to be in need of interventions preceded by investigation, and we follow up on the assessed interventions. We work with a target group focus and team-based approach throughout the entire process. This means that we coordinate investigations and interventions in collaboration with both internal and external actors, and that we base our work on evidence- and knowledge-based methods. The second-line social service, children's area, consists of units for investigation, foster care/contact activities, and interventions and specialized functions. The area as a whole is led by an area manager, each unit is led by a unit manager, and each group has its own group leader. Welcome to our unit: The Unit for Interventions and Specialized Functions! We are now seeking a substitute social worker for our intensive investigation group as one of our employees has taken parental leave. Our unit works with targeted functions and is divided into two groups, each with their own group leader. One group focuses on HVB placements and interventions, and the other group focuses on safety planning, SIP coordination, and intensive home-based investigation. As a substitute social worker, you will be part of the intensive investigation team. During an intensive investigation period, we investigate children's situations, their need for protection and support, and assess receptiveness to change work. The target group consists of children who have previously been subject to investigation where concerns were based on inadequate parental capacity and related issues. The work is largely carried out in the family home through conversations, observations, and minor interventions (such as introducing visual supports or similar). The working model involves the intensive investigation team initially mapping the family's history and current situation, and then intensively, over 6-8 weeks in the family's home environment, carrying out both investigative and interventional measures. The investigation is then compiled with a focus on needs and goals for further interventions. Once the interventions are underway, the case is handed over to a social worker for further follow-up. You are expected to work in a structured manner with great flexibility based on the children's and parents' specific situations. The idea is that we should work during the investigation period to initiate a positive change process. In many cases, this means that we also connect and mobilize the family's network. Your assignment In a team together with social workers and family counselors/family pedagogues, you will investigate children's and young people's need for protection and support, with your focus on the child's needs and development, observations, receptiveness to change work, and network work. You need to be flexible with working hours as some of the investigation work will be conducted in the family home, which may involve working hours in early mornings and afternoons. You and your co-handler will determine, based on the nature of the case, which home visits need to be carried out. What we are looking for in you Sociology degree Experience working within child and youth social services Good knowledge of social service processes Knowledge of BBIC Knowledge of Signs of Safety It is an advantage if you have worked with or have further competence development within children's needs/development, observations/interaction, and/or have worked with visual supports. Your competence As an employee with us, it is natural that you enjoy collaborating with others, but also that you can work independently. You have a talent for building good relationships, you are attentive and clear in your communication. You have good knowledge of child development and keep up with current research. You need to have the ability to limit your assignment, work calmly and methodically when those around you are stressed. We are looking for someone who can see the opportunities in complex social work, finds it easy to collaborate, is flexible, curious, and has the child's best interest in focus. What we can offer you We who work here are knowledgeable and engaged in our work, care about each other, and want to maintain a good atmosphere in the groups. We want our work to be characterized by consensus, quality, and legal security, and we think it is important to develop in our work. We are a happy work group and enjoy working together even though we have somewhat different assignments within the group. In order to strengthen our quality and create conditions for our employees to have the opportunity to use their competence efficiently and with the child's best interest in focus, we have chosen to make the following investments: - Proximity to nearest manager and available group leaders. - There is an established structure for regular support such as case discussions and external supervision. - Specialist social workers with an organization-wide assignment including methodological support, implementation, and recurring training - A development manager to support our continued development with a target group-focused approach. - Placement coordinators to support finding external placement options and handling agreements - Administrators with the task of relieving workload and providing support - We have a structure to enable remote work for those who wish it and based on the organization's needs.
