Cemetery Superintendent, Full-Time

We are seeking a Cemetery Superintendent, full-time position with start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Our parish is located 15 km south of Malmö. We have nine churches, twelve cemeteries, and 8,500 parish members. Our work team consists of 25 employees – including 9 church custodians. The Cemetery Superintendent will, among other duties: - Lead and distribute work for burial and service operations - Have overall responsibility for planning and development of the parish's cemeteries - Ensure that burial sites are developed and maintained in an efficient, neat, and appropriate manner - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Mediate in disputes regarding burial plot rights - Have both personnel and budget responsibility - Report directly to the Parish Vicar and be part of the management group - Work together with other custodians at the cemeteries - Assist at church services and religious ceremonies in our churches We are looking for someone with supervisory experience, organized skills, and education in horticulture or equivalent competence. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of church spaces and their furnishings. We require that you are a member of the Church of Sweden, hold a valid driver's license, and have access to your own vehicle. We also place great importance on personal suitability.
