About the Position As a workshop technician, you will troubleshoot and perform function tests on forest machines. Ensure quality and document your work while being a key player in our production. In this role, you will serve as a team leader. You will be responsible for planning and daily management of a small team, with reporting to various parts of the organization. Participate in final assembly and quality assurance of machines before delivery to customers. Assist Malwa's development department with testing, prototype building, and evaluation of warranty claims. Serve as backup for technical support. Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop through efficient and safe working practices. About You Formal Qualifications We are looking for someone with automotive or workshop technical training, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicles or mechanical engineering. You have documented experience in repair, troubleshooting, and hydraulics, as well as strong knowledge of final inspection. You are experienced working with 5S methodologies, have a strong safety mindset, and thrive in teams where quality, thorough documentation, and on-time delivery are non-negotiable. A positive attitude and a high degree of service orientation. A desire and mentality to continuously improve (customer satisfaction, delivery quality, product quality, warranty costs, team dynamics, etc.) Basic knowledge of reading drawings and hydraulic schematics. Good English skills. Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical information in English. Meritorious Qualifications If you have previously worked as a production supervisor and driven LEAN improvement initiatives, we consider that a clear advantage. Extra points if you have experience with troubleshooting, test driving, and quality work in small-batch manufacturing. Several years of experience working in a service or spare parts organization. Good understanding of the various technical subsystems of a forest machine. Some form of supervisory or team leader experience. Mechanic/repair technician for heavy vehicles and forest machines.
