Workshop Manager Team Lead with Technical Expertise!

Description:

Would you like a central role where your commitment contributes to our continued development? Are you a confident leader who enjoys balancing administrative tasks in the office with hands-on presence in the workshop? Then you might be the person we're looking for. We're seeking an engaged and trustworthy Team Leader for our facility in Borlänge. Your main responsibility will be managing the workshop, supporting the team, optimizing our workflows, and ensuring we maintain a steady and high delivery pace for our machines. This role suits you if you have a genuine technical interest and are motivated by creating structure, clarity, and good team spirit. Your Mission: Coordination, Flow, and Quality As a Team Leader, you are responsible for daily operations. You lead a competent team of eight experienced mechanics, and you are actively part of the daily work yourself. You become the natural link between the workshop floor, logistics, and sales departments. Drive the Flow: You structure work so that projects run efficiently and machines are delivered on schedule. Be Present: You split your time between the office and workshop to maintain good oversight and provide support where needed. Ensure Quality: You have an eye for detail, act proactively, and dare to raise questions or make corrections when improvements are possible. Manage the Entire Chain: You handle everything from initiating renovations/repairs of items, purchasing, to inspection and quality control. Workshop Maintenance: You ensure the workshop is in good condition, that everyone has the resources they need for their daily work, and you have delegated responsibility for the work environment. Who Are You? For us, your personality and ability to build trust are absolutely crucial. We seek a stable person who leads by being a good role model and who can communicate in a straightforward and fair manner. Clear Leader: You are communicative and have the ability to both coach your team and make necessary decisions for the business. Technical Interest: You have a background in mechanics or workshop work and have probably done plenty of repairs yourself. You don't need to know lifts specifically beforehand – we'll provide the right introduction. Responsible and Driven: You have a natural sense of commitment, see the bigger picture in production, and take responsibility for reaching goals. Your Qualifications Experience with personnel management in workshop, production, or manufacturing. Experience planning and working toward daily and weekly targets. Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems. Good knowledge of Swedish, English, and the Office package. Class B driver's license. What We Offer We offer a responsible and developmental role in a stable company with short decision-making paths. This is a full-time position, daytime hours, based at our workshop in Borlänge.
