About the Organization: Karlslundsskolan is a well-functioning grades F-9 school in central Vallentuna with good transportation connections. The school has approximately 500 students. You will come to a workplace where innovative thinking is encouraged and where we are happy to support you in your development projects with colleagues. Karlslundsskolan is Erasmus+ accredited and conducts several exchanges with students and teachers each year. The Vallentuna music program is run by Karlslundsskolan and is an exciting cultural focus of the school. Our school operates with trust-based and distributed leadership, where your expertise and commitment are decisive for our students' success and the school's overall development. We are seeking someone with a keen pedagogical eye who sees the potential in every student and who is driven to develop teaching in accordance with current research and proven experience. The after-school program serves approximately 250 students from pre-K through grade 6. Key Responsibilities: As Development Leader for the after-school program, you will have the mandate to lead the program forward. You are responsible for both developing and operationally managing the entire after-school activity. In your role, you work closely with the school's leadership team, collaborating with other school leaders to develop the entire school. You create conditions in the organization to achieve ambitious goals. You systematically plan and follow up on work based on national, municipal, and local objectives. You have the will and desire to develop other people and create shared visions. As Development Leader for the after-school program, your working time is approximately distributed as follows: 40% planning, organization, and follow-up of the after-school program's operational activities, as well as systematic long-term work. Goal-setting, follow-up, and leadership of the after-school staff. 20% responsibility areas for all of Karlslundsskolan, for example, student councils grades F-9. 40% time in the after-school program as a pedagogue. You will have your own office/workspace. Karlslundsskolan currently has a well-functioning, systematically developed after-school program with a development team and after-school meetings. You report directly to the principal. Qualifications: Licensed primary teacher specializing in after-school programs. Strong knowledge of curricula and laws within the school sector. Ability to develop the after-school program based on curricula and research. Experience leading staff toward established goals. Previous experience in formal leadership roles.
