Description:

Do you have the courage to lead the way and create a Vallentuna where people and ideas flourish? Do you want to contribute to a safe and dignified daily life for our elderly? Come work as a nursing assistant at Väsbygården. Vallentuna Municipality has the courage to lead the way. Our ambition is to be at the forefront when it comes to innovative solutions, smart work methods, and an efficient organization. As an employee, you play an important role in our development efforts. The Municipality as a workplace is characterized by understanding between politics and operations, where the common interest and responsibility for Vallentuna's wellbeing shine through. Customer focus, accessibility, and respect are important in our work for good results and increased quality. Commitment, collaboration, and equal value for all should permeate our organization. As an applicant, you should naturally share our common values. We are now seeking nursing assistants for both somatic care and departments with a cognitive focus. You will work on a rotating schedule with day shifts, evening shifts, and every other weekend. About the Facility Väsbygården is one of Vallentuna Municipality's two special residential care facilities operated in-house. The facility consists of seven departments with different specializations in somatic care, cognitive illness, and short-term placement. With us, you work in a dedicated and interprofessional team alongside nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, a dietitian, an activities coach, and unit managers. We value close collaboration where each profession contributes its expertise to create safety, participation, and a meaningful daily life for our residents. Duties: As a nursing assistant in a department specializing in residents with severe cognitive impairment or somatic care, you provide individually adapted care and support based on care plans and BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia). The role also includes serving as a primary contact for selected residents. You also serve as an ombudsman within designated quality areas (nutrition, activities, family relations/values, safety, palliative care, documentation, and hygiene). As a nursing assistant, you perform delegated health and medical care tasks and work person-centered while promoting participation and independence. You document according to current guidelines and contribute to a good work environment and team collaboration. You also contribute to operational goals through individually set targets in your development plan, which is planned with the unit manager. Continuous participation in operational development is part of your work. Qualifications: Completed nursing assistant education with protected professional title. Experience working in a cognitive impairment department and/or somatic care department. Good knowledge of Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Personal Qualities: You work toward results, demonstrate reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work. You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information. You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative. You are the link, provide service, show loyalty internally and externally, and monitor your surroundings. Common values are evident in your interactions. Information: As an employer, we want to utilize the qualities that equal gender distribution and cultural diversity bring. Vallentuna Municipality invests in competence development and a sustainable working life. To provide you with the best possible conditions in your role as an employee, Vallentuna Municipality has an employee academy where you can receive training and tools. The position is permanent part-time, 85 percent, starting August 31. We apply individual salary setting and a probationary period may be applied.
