The Children's and Youth Medical Department has three inpatient beds in regular care and additional beds for day care activities for children and adolescents up to 18 years old. The primary medical specialties are pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics, and otolaryngology. The pediatric emergency unit receives children and adolescents with acute medical conditions around the clock. Emergency calls with priority levels two through four are also received at the pediatric emergency unit. JOB DUTIES We are now welcoming two nursing assistants to our department. As a nursing assistant with us, you and your colleagues share responsibility for providing patients with the basic and specialized care they require. In addition to direct patient care, which includes blood draws and assistance with certain examinations, you will also have the opportunity to take on various areas of responsibility on the department. Our goal is to provide good and safe care and to always prioritize patient needs through close teamwork, and you will have the opportunity to help develop our services and department. Your work includes close collaboration with nurses. You should be independent and able to take initiative that drives our operations forward. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you, who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current curriculum structure. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required. Experience working in a pediatric emergency unit is a merit. Previous experience working with children in healthcare is also an advantage. To succeed in the role, it is important that you keep the patient at the center of focus. We see that you have good collaboration skills and are curious and solution-focused. As a person, you are responsible and mature, as well as communicative and attentive. You should have experience and interest in working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
