About Villa Hovås We are a residential facility with our heart in the right place where we all come to work with the residents' wellbeing in focus. The entire facility specializes in dementia care and houses 51 people distributed across three floors. There is a generous party hall and lounge on the ground floor, a salon for hair care and treatments, and a large rooftop terrace with raised beds, a greenhouse, and a pergola. Each unit has a shared kitchen and comfortable spaces for socializing and meals. There is a shared outdoor patio and balconies. We know that if you feel good at work, our residents feel good too! We are a dementia-certified residential facility, which means everyone working here is trained in dementia care and person-centered approaches through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We use needs-based flexible scheduling. This means you as an employee have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and preferences. We create schedules 10 weeks at a time. We collaborate with the organization Ung Omsorg. This means a team of young people ages 14–18 visit us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enrich the lives of our residents. You have a team leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operation. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. We incorporate animal-assisted care and have regular visits from our therapy dog companion. As a nursing assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and understand what they need. At the same time, you'll learn a lot about care, aging, and how to treat people with dignity. You work closest to the residents and thus have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation. Your experience and knowledge We would like to see that you are a trained nursing assistant with several years of experience in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also advantageous. Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing is required, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing.
