We are seeking nursing assistants for Ekhaga care and housing facility in Onsala We are looking for two dedicated nursing assistants for our charming care and housing facility in Onsala. The positions are scheduled day/evening shifts and every other weekend, where you will work on the somatic units. About Ekhaga Care and Housing Facility In Onsala you will find Ekhaga care and housing facility with a total of 94 apartments. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable staff work with elderly people who have suffered from somatic illness or dementia. Ekhaga is operated by Vardaga as a contracted service. We are a dementia-certified facility, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and communication through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We apply fixed schedules that include working varying day/evening shifts and every other weekend. As an employee, you have some opportunity to influence your own working hours in consultation with your team and group manager. We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg (Youth Care). This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visit us on weekends and school breaks. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enhance the lives of our residents. You have a group manager who spends most of their time working close to you in the facility. Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. Here we work with animals in care and regularly receive visits from therapy dogs. We are constantly working to arrange new and exciting activities for our residents. At Ekhaga, we have an Elderly Center with two activity coordinators employed who support the facility in developing activity programs for our seniors. As a nursing assistant, you are extremely important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you will learn a great deal about care, aging, and how to treat people. You work closest to the resident and therefore have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.
