WORK DUTIES Your tasks consist of providing care, assistance, and support to our residents in the dementia unit at Bompabacken Elderly Care Home. As a nursing assistant, you are part of the daily work to ensure that individuals maintain good living conditions based on their different circumstances and needs. You will collaborate and work solution-focused to meet the needs of the individual without restricting their right to self-determination, integrity, and influence. A large part of the position involves traditional care and nursing work. The assignment may consist of: • promoting social community and activities • assisting with personal care such as showering, toilet visits, help with meals, etc. • documenting and administering medication (delegation test conducted upon employment) • planning and implementing daily activities • guiding and supporting the individual in a lifestyle that prevents illness, including through diet, physical activity, and social stimulation • working pedagogically Work is scheduled during daytime hours between approximately 07:00-21:30. You will work day or evening shifts and every other weekend. We have a fixed base schedule. We can offer great variety in the work as our operation consists of a dementia unit, assisted living, and a home care team. We work across department boundaries as needed and also work with resource assignments. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily seeking someone who is trained as a nursing assistant. We see good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a desire to make a difference for others as important qualities. You also need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
