Nursing care work is varied and includes both traditional nursing care and medical-technical tasks. Work tasks can change quickly depending on which patients are being cared for at any given time. After approximately one year of experience in the infectious disease clinic, you become dual-competent and can handle both infection and ear patients. As a team member, you participate in various responsibility groups and therefore have several development opportunities. You can engage in, for example, patient safety, emergency response teams, and mentoring of students. We are a relatively small clinic with close collaboration between professions, and we work closely in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Right now we are looking for several new colleagues for temporary assignments during the autumn, extending for one year. The position is full-time. About You We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care. Work as a nursing assistant on shared care unit 39 requires an interest in and knowledge of caring for both infection patients and ear patients. We see that you have several years of experience working as a nursing assistant in inpatient care. As a person, you take initiative and accomplish things with good results. You see possibilities in changes and work well with other people with operations in focus. You are someone who can handle rapid shifts, has the ability to make quick priorities with good judgment, and make decisions based on the patient's best interests. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title nursing assistant in care and health services, you need a certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. We care for patients where both acute care and monitoring occur. Infectious disease patients are sometimes so seriously ill that vital parameters need to be monitored with central monitoring. Patient care is a large part of the work, but it also includes medical-technical procedures such as specimen collection and central venous catheter insertion. In addition to infection patients, patients with ear, nose, and throat diseases are cared for on the unit.
