What we offer At Volvo Cars Body Components (VCBC) in Olofström, we produce and deliver body components to Volvo's various facilities around the world. The main process at VCBC is sheet metal pressing. The Machine Maintenance Pressing Department in the Upper Factory consists of approximately 50 employees whose main responsibilities involve performing preventive and emergency maintenance on our press fleet. We are now looking for a mechanic to fill a vacant position on our 2-shift schedule. What you will do As a mechanic, you will primarily work to ensure the operational reliability of the presses and associated mechanization equipment by performing preventive and corrective maintenance. The role also includes analytical work regarding technical issues, participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and renovation projects. The work is conducted in close collaboration with our customer (production) and several networks in the field. You are quality-conscious and interested in improvement work. You enjoy when things happen and can easily adapt planned work when unforeseen events occur. You like to continuously update your knowledge and develop yourself, but equally important to you is sharing newly acquired knowledge with others. Ideally, you have a high school diploma or equivalent with a focus on industrial technology, automotive technology, or similar.
