About the Position As a maintenance mechanic, you will work with preventive and corrective maintenance on production and industrial machinery at a client in Varberg. Your work tasks include troubleshooting, repairs, service, adjustments, and simple assembly and installation of machine parts. You will work closely with the operations and production team to ensure good machine operation and high availability. Work Tasks Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and sometimes electrical faults Preventive maintenance according to plan Replacement and adjustment of bearings, shafts, drive systems, and similar components Participate in improvement and optimization projects Document work and report status to your responsible manager About You Formal Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary technical education or equivalent practical experience in mechanics, machine repair, or maintenance. You have a B driver's license and good technical understanding of workshop work. Furthermore, you express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Experience and Skills Practical experience with machine maintenance in industry or production Secure handling of mechanical work and experience reading drawings and documentation Basic electrical knowledge is a plus Ability to work independently and in a team, and prioritize work tasks Personal Qualities You are meticulous, solution-oriented, and have a strong safety mindset. You thrive in a practical role, are flexible with working hours when needed, and communicate well both verbally and in writing in Swedish. Meritorious It is advantageous if you have experience in mechanics, control and automation technology, hydraulics, pneumatics, and working with gearboxes and motors. Knowledge in electrical work and welding is a plus. We would also like to see if you have a forklift operator license, wheel loader, bridge crane, or lift, as well as training in Hot work.
