We at Uddeholms AB are seeking an employee for the analysis laboratory in Hagfors. Do you have education in chemistry, metallurgy, or extensive experience in laboratory work? This could be the position for you! The analysis laboratory team is looking for a development technician to determine the chemical composition of steel and raw materials. The laboratory's primary task is to perform quality control on steel, raw materials, and steel production by-products, as well as to support the development of the production process. Together with the team, you will monitor and validate both work methods and equipment, and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with established methods and procedures. Job Responsibilities Your work will consist partly of maintaining, developing, and creating new measurement methods and work procedures for measurement techniques such as XRF, OES, gas analysis, and wet chemical methods such as ICP, AAS, and titration. The work as a development technician is divided into two focus areas where each development technician is responsible for specific areas but should also be able to cover the other's area when needed. Work on developing reference materials and staying updated on new techniques in the field will also be part of your responsibilities. The work also includes ongoing updating and review of our work methods and standards to ensure that we work safely and with the right quality. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is thorough, enjoys working in a structured manner, and prefers to work together with others to solve tasks and challenges. You should have an interest in working with instruments and machines and be proactive in the laboratory's and your own development. You have at least post-secondary education focused on chemistry or metallurgy, or extensive experience in laboratory work with the measurement techniques mentioned above. You have good computer skills and can express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience with Lean is a merit.
