Tungelsta School Seeks Assistant Principal for Grades F-5 Tungelsta School is located in the southern part of Haninge Municipality. We have Stockholm city at a convenient commuting distance, approximately 30 minutes by car or commuter train. Haninge's schools work goal-oriented and consciously to increase achievement among our students. Tungelsta School is an F-9 school with approximately 600 students and over 60 staff members. The school is organized in work teams from preschool class through grade 9. Each work team is led by a development leader who meets with school leadership every other week for planning and follow-up of school development. Our students are the adults of the future and together with them we aim toward their future. We work goal-oriented with our students' knowledge development throughout their school years. We want to develop our students into knowledgeable and independent individuals who share the values that exist in society. Our students achieve good results. At the school we work with student-active methods and cooperative approaches to strengthen students' collaboration and communication. We also work across subjects to create an understanding of how different subjects can create a whole. Your Assignment We are looking for someone with a strong ability to lead development work, create trusting relationships with students, colleagues and guardians, and who puts the student in focus. Your task as a school leader is to increase student learning and contribute to their social development. You follow up on results and analyze them together with teachers and lead the pedagogical work toward high achievement and high knowledge results. You are clear, receptive and empathetic in your approach. You have personnel responsibility and are financially responsible for your unit. You are responsible for student and parent contacts for the group you lead and you are part of the school's student welfare team. Qualifications Degree at university level We would like you to have experience as a leader in a school It is an advantage if you have completed principal training You have a student focus You have experience with digitalization You should have a very good ability to communicate in speech and writing and a good ability to coach and drive development forward at the school Knowledge of Skola24 is beneficial Characteristics Regarding personal characteristics, you need to have good teamwork ability and be empathetic and able to meet both staff, students and guardians in a good way. As a leader, you need to be goal- and results-oriented, clear and able to think strategically. You are a person who can motivate and inspire and get the staff group to work toward the same goal. Even though you have your areas of responsibility, you need to be able to see what is good for the entire school and be able to look forward. You are a person who analyzes, reflects, follows up, makes visible and provides feedback to colleagues so that the quality of both the colleague and the operation is raised and continuously develops. You also need to be creative and have an ability to see new solutions. You contribute with positive energy and are involved in the school's development.
