JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you a communicative and driven person who wants to work with strategic security and crime prevention issues? As Safety and Security Coordinator, you have a municipality-wide and central role in our crime prevention and safety-creating work. Your main task is to hold together and drive forward the municipality's crime prevention work in accordance with the statutory responsibility that municipalities have. In a smaller municipality, this often means varied work where you move between overarching strategic policies and concrete, operational measures in everyday life. These issues are current and highly prioritized by both political and administrative leadership. You report to the Head of Chancellery, but also have direct contact with the Municipal Director, sector heads and municipal board members. The position is located at the Municipal Administration Office's chancellery, in a group with three additional staff members who mainly work on emergency preparedness issues. You will also be part of the crisis management function. Your main duties - Crime Prevention Coordination: Lead, develop and follow up on the municipality's crime prevention work in accordance with applicable legislation and adopted policy documents. - Situation Assessment and Analysis: Compile and analyze local situation assessments together with the Police and other authorities to implement the right measures in the right places. - Networks and Collaboration: Be the municipality's contact person towards police, rescue services, civil society and business. - Safety-Creating Measures: Initiate and lead safety dialogues and drive other local projects. - Crisis Preparedness and Security: Support the municipality's managers in systematic security work, risk and vulnerability analyses and in the event of crises. - Fire Safety: Coordination and support regarding operators' systematic fire safety. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who finds it easy to build trusting relationships and who is good at getting different actors to pull in the same direction. Qualifications: - Relevant university degree in, for example, criminology, political science, law, sociology or other education that the employer considers equivalent. - Experience working with safety and security issues, preferably from a municipality or other public organization. - Good understanding of crime prevention work and collaboration with the police. - Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Merits: - Experience in developing and working with structured situation assessments. - Knowledge of crisis preparedness and security protection. - Experience leading networks or project groups. - Experience working in politically governed municipalities. As a person, you are self-driven, analytical and solution-oriented. You are confident in yourself and have a pedagogical ability to reach different target audiences with information.
