We are now seeking a Traffic Engineer for the Technical Department for a parental leave position. About the Operations The Technical Department is responsible for operations, development, and management of the municipality's streets, parks, parking operations, public land, and traffic environment, as well as water and sewage operations. The department works both strategically and operatively, manages multiple projects, and collaborates closely with other municipal functions, local government, contractors, and external authorities. Job Duties As a Traffic Engineer at the Technical Department, you will work to create a safe, accessible, and well-functioning traffic environment for the municipality's residents, visitors, and business sector. You will work both strategically and operatively with matters related to traffic regulation, parking, permits, and accessibility adaptation. The work involves close collaboration with other functions within the municipality, local government, the Police Authority, the National Roads Administration (Trafikverket), the Transportation Agency (Transportstyrelsen), contractors, and the public. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: Experience with vehicle relocation Good knowledge of local traffic regulations (LTF) and RDT Work on roads stages 1.1, 1.3, and 2.2 Experience with public parking enforcement Very good knowledge of traffic ordinances and road sign ordinances Good IT skills and experience working in digital systems Able to speak and write fluent Swedish We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
