Meal Service is a sector within Östersund Municipality, Technical Administration. The sector includes over 70 kitchens divided into seven areas. We prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for preschools and schools, lunches for upper secondary schools, and dinner and lunch for people living in special residential facilities. Employment form: Temporary hourly employment Working hours: Varies between 06:30-16:00 Monday-Friday. Some kitchens offer the possibility of working weekends. Job Duties Cook Prepare safe, nutritious, and sustainable food of high quality in accordance with current guidelines and customer orders. Responsibility for planning kitchen operations and performing all kitchen tasks required to comply with laws, guidelines, policies, and achieve the unit's set goals. Order food and consumables in accordance with current agreements. Reception and coding of invoices according to current procedures. Offer good service and customer care. Qualifications Cooking education and/or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Work experience from previous employment as a cook in a public kitchen is meritorious. Good Swedish language skills. Good computer skills. Meal Service Assistant Works with preparation and finishing tasks in both kitchen and dining areas in accordance with customer orders. Some food preparation and simple preparation of, for example, salad buffets and side dishes for the day's meals. Offer good service and customer care. Reception and coding of invoices according to current procedures. Order food and consumables in accordance with current agreements. Perform tasks in the kitchen and dining area required to comply with laws, policies, and the unit's set goals. Qualifications Good Swedish language skills and computer skills. Work experience from service professions. Work experience from previous kitchen work, education in food, meals, or service, as well as experience with self-inspection is meritorious. Meritorious Driver's license and access to a car, as well as the ability to work in the municipality's outlying areas (Häggenås, Brunflo, Fåker, Orrviken).
