Job Duties We are now seeking hourly substitutes who can step in as needed throughout the year for a male client in Örnsköldsvik. The client is deafblind and needs staff with knowledge of sign language and preferably tactile sign language. The work involves providing support in daily life – everything from communication, assistance with certain household tasks, accompaniment, and personal care to social activities. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is responsible, has good interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to different situations. As a personal assistant, you work in our clients' homes, so we see that you have good and respectful conduct as well as good empathetic ability. Previous experience with dementia care and personal assistance is a merit but not required. The most important thing is that you want to make a difference and have the right attitude. Requirements: Sign language, preferably tactile sign language Must be 18 years old Fluent in Swedish Örnsköldsvik Municipality maintains a smoke-free workplace. We would particularly welcome language skills in Finnish and/or one of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas. A number of positions in our municipality are placed in security class, so security vetting may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
