As a residential support worker, you work at one of our homes to support, motivate, and stimulate individuals' own ability to perform activities in daily life. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life. Residential support is provided to people with various types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment. In the work tasks of a residential support worker, documentation, preparation of implementation plans, and contact person responsibilities occur. Examples of work tasks: Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds Documentation and reporting Outings, walks, exercise, and activities Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, assistance, social presence Support and motivate customers for increased independence in their everyday life Work hours are arranged according to customers' needs and vary between day, evening, on-call nights, and overnight shifts, both on weekdays and weekends. About our 3 group homes Hagalund Group Home LSS is located approximately 43 km outside Gävle. In May 2025, we are opening a newly built group home in Hagalund. The group home is located in Hamrångefjärden and is adapted for people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions. The group home has 6 apartments and since many people within LSS with problem-causing and challenging behaviors move from one home to another, our goal is for them to find home. We work with low-affective interaction, visual supports, and clarifying pedagogy, which means routines and adapted strategies to create security and predictability for each individual. This approach creates an environment where residents can develop according to their unique conditions and achieve a higher quality of life. The facility has an adapted activity bus to meet our customers' activity needs. Åbyfors Group Home LSS is located in the countryside in Valbo, just outside Gävle, and consists of four apartments with associated common areas. The target group is adults with severe or moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. On the property in a separate building is Boda, which is an associated daily activity program. Here we offer individually adapted and meaningful activities, only for those living in the Åbyforsvägen group home. Work tasks are designed according to interests, needs, and conditions and include visual supports, cooking, gardening, outings, and more. Boda's opening hours are daytime and are adapted to customers' needs. Vinbärsvägen Group Home SoL residence, Sätra Near forest and nature but still just a couple of kilometers from central Gävle, you will find Vinbärsvägen. Vinbärsvägen is a group home within sociopsychiatry that is directed at adults aged 21-65 years with mental disabilities that make it difficult to maintain their own home. We work in accordance with our psychosocial treatment concept where knowledge of cognition guides us to ensure that we meet each individual in accordance with their individual needs and abilities. Here, all of everyday's tasks and situations are characterized by a spirit that enables positive development for the individual. Everyday training situations lead to new tools, skills, and strategies that can be applied, so that the individual gradually becomes more independent and finds successful ways to manage and master all the challenges of everyday life. When placing someone at Vinbärsvägen, we build a structure together with the customer to create a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful everyday life based on the salutogenic approach and the normalization principle. We work based on MI (Motivational Interviewing) and ESL (A Self-Directed Life). Who are we looking for? We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We would like you to enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. We also appreciate that you work well with others and have the ability to be flexible and responsive when needed. We would like you to be a nursing assistant, childcare worker, or have equivalent education. It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience working with LSS or sociopsychiatry. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of low-affective interaction. It is a requirement to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We would like you to have good physical ability. Driver's license category B is required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
