About Viljan Selfhelp Selfhelp is a treatment home with specialist expertise located in Norrala, just outside Söderhamn. Here, therapists, nurses, doctors, and treatment staff work with issues related to substance abuse/addiction, criminality, and mental health. Our clients come from Social Services, Probation Services, and the Prison and Probation Service. Our treatment approaches are CBT and the 12-step program About the Role of Social/Treatment Educator We work with commitment to everything surrounding our clients. The work involves meeting people in crisis and/or in difficult life situations, so it is very important that you yourself can see possibilities, convey hope, and treat people respectfully. Together you do practical things in everyday life, such as practicing daily activities. As a social/treatment educator, you help with contacts with authorities, doctors, and landlords. Main Responsibilities: Admission of new clients Documentation Maintaining rules and routines Activities Qualifications You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way and enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Trained social educator or 400 YHP treatment educator or ongoing education plus competence in mentalization theory.
