We are now recruiting a sign language interpreter for the high school program in Sunne Municipality. As an interpreter, you will follow a student throughout the entire school day and enable communication in both teaching and practical activities. The student studies at Sunne High School SG/Broby and SG/Södra Viken, which means you will move between different learning environments – from classrooms to outdoor-based and practical educational activities. You will become an important part of the student's education and contribute to creating inclusion and security in their daily life. Job Responsibilities You will interpret between sign language and Swedish in teaching and other school-related contexts, and support the student's communication in both theoretical and practical situations. The work involves following the student throughout the entire school day and moving between different environments depending on how the teaching is structured. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education in sign language interpreting or other qualifications that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of sign language and Swedish. You are confident, flexible, and have strong collaboration skills. You are comfortable in a school environment and working with young people, and feel at ease working in varying environments, including outdoors. Experience working in schools is a merit. A B-class driver's license is a requirement, as the position involves working at two different schools. Terms Before employment, a valid criminal record certificate from the police must be presented. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. Interviews may also be conducted after the vacation period.
