About Us As a Systems Engineer at Saab Surveillance, you will work with the development of advanced defense products, with a particular focus on marine command systems. Your role involves ensuring that our products meet the requirements and expectations that our customers place on their capabilities. You lead the technical work throughout the product lifecycle, from initial studies to development and ongoing maintenance. The work includes requirements analysis, specification, and verification of the final product. Your primary focus is on the software components included in our deliveries. You act as a link between project management and the various development teams, where you break down work packages into action items that are passed on to development. You will work with tools such as Jira and Confluence. Your Role In the role of Systems Engineer, you have an understanding of the entirety of our products, but also the ability to explain, communicate, and document how the systems are intended to function. The deliveries are technically broad and may contain components within both hardware and mechanics. You will be part of a team with varied backgrounds and experience that appreciates each other's differences and strives for an open and supportive culture. In the role of systems engineer, you can also expect: Work with requirements specification, planning, analyses, summarizing results, and reporting. Movement across many technical areas, where your contact points within the company will be broad. Collaboration in project form with various parts within Saab Naval Combat Systems, other parts of Saab, as well as national or international partners. Our projects vary in size, which requires flexibility as you may work with multiple projects simultaneously. The role of Systems Engineer may involve extensive customer contact and may also involve travel within and outside Sweden depending on the assignment and customer. Your Profile Master's degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent with several years of experience, preferably from software systems development. Experience in requirements specification and structuring complex systems to create a robust system architecture. Good collaboration skills and the ability to drive your work forward independently. The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to applicable security clearance regulations at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
