We are looking for a strategic security and preparedness coordinator who wants to contribute to developing the municipality's ability to prevent, manage, and advance work within security and total defense – both today and in the future. Welcome to our IT and Security unit! Duties As a strategic security and preparedness coordinator, you have a central role in the municipality's work with security, civil preparedness, and crisis management. You work both strategically and operationally to coordinate, develop, and support the municipality's work within this area. The role involves close collaboration with municipal leadership, operations, and external actors. You serve as a resource on matters related to security, preparedness, governance, and analysis, and also contribute qualified investigative work and prepare guiding documents within the field. In the role you will, among other things: Coordinate and develop the municipality's work within civil preparedness and total defense. Work with crisis management, continuity planning, and security-related matters. Participate in and support the municipality's work during special events and crisis management. Develop, advance, and follow up on governing documents, plans, and procedures. Write decision support documents, analyses, and investigations for management and elected bodies. Coordinate risk and vulnerability analyses and contribute to development and improvement work. Collaborate with internal operations and external actors within the security and preparedness field. Provide support and guidance to operations on matters related to security, preparedness, and critical infrastructure. Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and structure within the municipality's administrative and management work. Monitor the external environment within areas such as civil preparedness, security, and total defense. About the Workplace The Municipal Executive Board Administration's mission is to lead, coordinate, and follow up on the municipality's operations. What We're Looking For in You To succeed in the role, you have: Education Relevant higher education or university degree in, for example, societal security, crisis management, political science, public administration, law, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience Experience of qualified coordination work within public sector operations or another relevant organization Experience working with security, preparedness, or development matters Experience preparing decision support documents, investigations, or governing documents Experience working both strategically and operatively Experience collaborating with multiple different actors and operations. Knowledge Good knowledge of civil preparedness, crisis management, and total defense Good understanding of public administration and municipal decision-making processes Ability to analyze complex information and translate it into clear documents and practical measures Good administrative and structural ability Good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: Experience Experience from municipal operations or another politically governed organization Experience working in a staff function, crisis management, or special organization during events Experience with security classification work, information security, or continuity work Experience in project management, change management, or development work Experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses. Knowledge Knowledge of relevant legislation in the field, such as security classification, crisis management, and public administration Knowledge of information security and security classification Knowledge of the structure of total defense and division of responsibilities Knowledge of governance, process development, and operational development. A category B driving license is a requirement for the position. The employer will also conduct a security clearance of relevant applicants.
