About the Workplace Östanbo is a newly built group home that was completed in spring 2024, and is part of the Functional Support business area within the Welfare sector. You work closely with your colleagues, your unit manager, and other partners, and we collaborate with other operations within the business area. Östanbo group home provides housing for five individuals covered by the Swedish Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). The overarching goal of the law is to enable each individual to live like everyone else without being limited by their functional impairment. Here you will work together with your colleagues to provide the residents of Östanbo with the best possible living conditions. Your Assignment We help and support the residents with care services based on their individual needs and wishes, according to granted assistance. The work is carried out based on established implementation plans and goals. The work includes providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, laundry care, washing, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, and leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks include developing and maintaining individual abilities and communication, as well as supporting residents' self-determination and personal integrity. We create and maintain conditions for quality of life, security, and self-determination. Working hours are distributed throughout all hours of the day and are adjusted continuously according to the needs of the operation. You need to be able to work days, nights, and weekends to be suitable for the position. Your Competence We are looking for you who are trained as a support pedagogue/support assistant or have completed an approved care and welfare program, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have previously worked as a support assistant or have experience in care-related and/or pedagogical work. It is positive if you have experience with clarifying pedagogy. Since the work requires communication and documentation, we assume that you have computer skills and master Swedish in speech and writing. As a person, you are good at conveying security, have a calm approach, and can handle complex forms of expression. You are stress-resistant, value collaboration, and demonstrate professional conduct with everyone in your work. You work from a holistic perspective and have the ability to plan and structure work. Furthermore, you need to have the ability to make your own decisions while respecting decisions made and being able to carry out work on behalf of others.
