JOB DUTIES The role of support assistant involves creating the opportunity, based on the individual's specific needs and circumstances, for them to live as others do in society through participation, independence, and normalization. The support assistant shall support, guide, and motivate the individual in daily life with the aim of maintaining and developing their abilities. The goal of the role is to strengthen the individual's confidence in their own abilities, thereby creating conditions for development as well as security and structure in everyday life. The role is primarily governed by the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS), the Social Services Act (SoL), the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general recommendations, municipal policy documents, and the individual's implementation plan. The target group for disability care services includes persons with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism or autism spectrum disorder, as well as persons with physical or mental functional limitations/neuropsychiatric conditions. QUALIFICATIONS Three years of upper secondary education equivalent to a child and leisure program or healthcare and nursing program is required. A B-category driver's license is required for positions in group homes and residential support. Previous experience working with persons with disabilities is required. As a person, you have a strong ability to take initiative and collaborate. You adapt easily to changing circumstances. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Interviews are held continuously. If you are called for an interview, you need to verify your identity in one of the following three ways: - Passport - National ID card showing citizenship - ID card combined with a personal certificate showing citizenship. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, you must also present a valid residence permit and/or work permit in Sweden. To ensure the safety of service users, a criminal record certificate for work with elderly persons and persons with disabilities must be presented before employment. You order the certificate yourself from the Police; the certificate must not be older than six months. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
