We are seeking a support assistant with a strong commitment to promoting independence and quality of life for children and young people in residential care facilities for children and youth according to LSS. Your Assignment In the role of support assistant, you work to ensure that the support measures in the individual's implementation plan are planned, carried out, evaluated, and developed according to need. Support services are based on the children's/young people's individual needs to promote abilities, integrity, participation, and self-determination. You will also perform daily documentation in the Life Care system. You will provide educational support and assistance with personal care, meals, activities, cleaning, and laundry. Manage the care of the unit's premises, meal preparation, and purchasing. Have responsibility for maintaining close and good cooperation with guardians, relatives, school, and other professionals within health and medical care. Working hours are scheduled during day, evening, night, and weekends. Working in a children and youth residential facility according to LSS means supporting the individual by guiding, structuring, and motivating them in daily life. Support services vary based on the individual's needs. Work can range from simple daily support such as planning the week, managing the household, and accompanying individuals in leisure activities to more extensive support in meeting basic needs. Challenging situations may occur; it is important to have good knowledge of low-affective communication. In some cases, you will perform delegated health and medical care services. Your Experience You must have appropriate upper secondary education from a children and youth program, with a focus on social work, educational work, or a care and service program with a specialization in disabilities or psychiatry, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. I have good computer skills and speak Swedish well both verbally and in writing. Meritorious qualifications: I have previous experience working with children and young people with functional variations. I have knowledge of AAC, Alternative and Augmentative Communication. I have knowledge and experience in low-affective communication and clarifying pedagogy. Is This You? The work is varied and very developmental as you will meet a spectrum of intellectual disabilities, autism, and ADHD diagnoses at the facility. We offer environmental changes and recreation for the individual. Support is individually adapted and based on the individual's needs to ensure good living conditions and a good life. It is built on active interest from us and a willingness to listen and understand. Through motivating and practically supportive measures, we help people meet and manage various situations in daily life with the goal of living as independently as possible according to their abilities. Support is provided both in the facility's premises and in everyday activities out in the community. Other Duties: Ensure quality of services based on users' support needs.
