We are now seeking several experienced Station Technicians who want to help build the maintenance operations of the future! Vattenfall Eldistribution is undertaking one of its largest initiatives ever—a historic consolidation to build stronger, more resilient, and completely independent capacity for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. At a time when the world is placing ever-higher demands on robustness and resilience, we are taking decisive steps to secure an electricity grid that can handle difficult conditions and deliver when it matters most. Responsibilities and Tasks As a Station Technician, you play a central role in ensuring that our electrical installations—from 0.4 up to 400 kV—are safe, available, and equipped for the energy needs of the future. In this role, you get varied, practical fieldwork where you combine advanced technical problem-solving with careful digital documentation. Working together with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and projects, you contribute to an electricity grid with high operational reliability and quality, where your technical expertise makes a real difference in daily operations, for both our installations and society. Your main responsibilities include: Perform service, operations, maintenance, construction, and troubleshooting in substations and electrical installations Conduct rounds, inspections, and checks according to established maintenance programs and report deviations Work according to ESA, EBR, and applicable safety procedures, and participate in risk assessments and work planning Perform maintenance, repairs, and switching on switchgear equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, load tap changers, battery systems, as well as thermography and earthing tests, etc. Smaller modifications and fault corrections may be part of the role Document completed work and manage work orders in our digital systems Contribute to developing work methods and procedures for improved safety and quality The role emphasizes safety, quality, progress, and commitment. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do—in a high-risk environment, we take care of each other and create security together. The work is carried out on assignment from the maintenance manager. Travel within the area and on-call service may be a natural part of the assignment. Requirements We are looking for someone with good technical understanding, strong safety awareness, and an interest in working with complex electrical installations. You are organized, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work. We would like to see that you have: Secondary education in electrical power/electrical engineering or equivalent vocational training Experience as a station technician, electrical power technician, distribution electrician, industrial electrician, or similar Fluent Swedish, spoken and written Driver's license category B It is an advantage if you have a good ability to read drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, as well as a basic understanding of control, protection, and monitoring systems.
