We would like to welcome an additional ST doctor to our great team here at Healthcare Center Västerstrand. You will have wonderful and competent colleagues who are happy to mentor a future colleague. Your Workplace We are located in Våxnäs center approximately ten minutes from Karlstad with good bus and bicycle options. We offer a good workplace with experienced specialists in general medicine. Currently, we have five specialists, two ST doctors, and one AT doctor. We have a well-staffed team of district nurses and nurses, psychiatric nurses, assistant nurses, social worker, psychologist, and healthcare administrators. We have approximately 11,000 registered patients in our area and work closely with Karlstad municipality's support assessors who are also located with us. Your Tasks As a doctor with us, you will have challenging and exciting work with good conditions for comprehensive training within the specialty. Your training will be customized in consultation with your mentor, but we follow Region Värmland's training program for ST doctors. Our current ST doctors really want to emphasize our mentoring, both the systematic and weekly mentoring as well as the daily guidance. This creates security and less delay in assessments and decisions. As an ST doctor at Västerstrand, you will have varied and stimulating work with: Scheduled consultations and acute patient matters. Certain on-call and standby duty in consultation with your mentor. Active participation in operations development with focus on accessibility, patient safety, and quality. Distributed side assignments, for example SÄBO responsibility or work at the midwifery clinic may occur. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for a licensed doctor with an interest in primary care who wants to become a specialist in general medicine. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and should also have permission to work within Swedish healthcare and want to be part of developing the operations to become even better. As a person, you are responsible, well-organized, and have a pleasant manner. You enjoy patient interactions and always put the patient in focus, while also having the ability to see the bigger picture in operations. You are flexible and can adapt your working methods to changed circumstances. You prioritize and organize your work in an efficient manner and prefer to work in collaboration with others. You also have an easy time understanding and empathizing with other people's situations.
