About the Position As a technician, you work close to production with preventive maintenance at our facilities where you practically analyze, identify, and implement improvements in production equipment. Your work also includes planning, preparation, and management of spare parts to ensure efficiency, availability, and replacement in production operations to meet our common goals. You will participate in projects that develop our facilities to meet requirements in terms of environment, machine efficiency, and production capacity. You work both independently and together with your colleagues in a team. We always prioritize safety and you perform your work in accordance with SSAB's routines and processes for safety, health, and environment. We have gathered employees working with hydraulics, tribology, and media in their own group, and you will have the opportunity to help shape working methods and development within this area. Your Main Areas of Responsibility Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement work Analyze operational disruptions and develop corrective action proposals Plan maintenance shutdowns in consultation with the operations organization Stay updated daily on the status of the facilities Participate in facility projects and drive development forward Develop proposals for long-term maintenance plans and budgets for your area About You For this position, you must have completed upper secondary education. Additional qualifications such as further education in pipe maintenance, pump maintenance, pressurized equipment, or other technical background are advantageous. You need good knowledge of Office applications and must be proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
