Welcome to us Bandhagens School is now seeking a substitute special education teacher or specialist teacher who wants to be part of developing our school. Bandhagens School is located in a nature-close area, within walking distance to the Bandhagen and Högdalen subway stations. The school has approximately 460 students and approximately 100 employees. We accept students from pre-school class through grade 6 in primary school. We also accept students from grade 1 through grade 6 in adapted primary school and pre-school class students preparing for adapted primary school. We have after-school programs for grades F–3 primary school and F–6 adapted primary school, and we offer after-school clubs for grades 4–6 primary school. The school has its own kitchen. Your role As a special education teacher/specialist teacher, you will be part of the school's Student Support Team. Your mission includes developing the school's promoting and preventive Student Support work together with other professionals on the Student Support Team. Your area of responsibility will be our adapted primary school and the primary school's special education groups, where you work together with assistant principals and other professionals on the Student Support Team to collaborate with teaching teams around students who need the most support. The assignment includes supervising staff, providing specialized instruction, having contact and working with students and parents, and being responsible for pedagogical documentation. Your competence and experience You should • have teacher certification with authorization to teach in grades F-6 • have a special education certificate or be a certified specialist teacher • have good knowledge of developmental neurological disabilities (ADHD, autism, language disorders, etc.) • have good knowledge of documentation regarding students with special support • be able to express yourself well in speech and writing • be able to use various digital tools in your work • have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and parents alike • find development enriching and want to be part of developing our operations It is advantageous if you have experience working as a special education teacher/specialist teacher, and if you have experience working with adapted primary school and special education groups. For this position, it is important that you find it easy to build relationships, have good work capacity, are a trustworthy person who is skilled at being clear in your communication, have high expectations of yourself, your colleagues, and your students.
