For the municipality's new school organization, we are seeking a Special Education Teacher for adapted primary school with a focus on subject areas. This is a role where you shape the future for our students. We are looking for a special education teacher who wants to help build and develop our services for students in adapted primary school at the training school level. You will have a central role where you combine direct work with students with the development of our operations at all levels. As a special education teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop working methods, mentor colleagues, conduct pedagogical assessments before enrollment, and work supportively with both students and staff. This is a position for someone who wants to make a real difference and has the opportunity to influence and create an operation that puts students' needs at the center. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES The position is placed in our central student support services where you collaborate with a psychologist, counselor, school nurse, and school doctor in an interdisciplinary team. As a special education teacher with us, you will have a broad and developmental role where you work on multiple levels. You are involved from the beginning and shape how we work with our students in adapted primary school at the training school level. You develop methods, structures, and learning environments that put students' conditions and needs at the center. • You provide support and guidance to both students and staff in adapted primary school across the entire municipality • You become an important resource and discussion partner for colleagues who work with students with special needs. • You are responsible for conducting pedagogical assessments before enrollment in adapted primary school. • You meet children, parents, and organizations where the student previously received instruction. • You map pedagogical needs and provide recommendations that form the foundation for the students' continued schooling. You work closely with students in their daily lives, develop pedagogical methods and adaptations, and follow up and evaluate measures together with teachers and student support staff. You are a certified teacher with specialized education training, preferably with experience working in adapted primary school, particularly at the training school level. We are looking for someone who: • Wants to be involved in shaping and developing an operation from the ground up • Enjoys working both independently and in a team • Has the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues • Is organized and able to document and communicate knowledge Meritorious for the position: • Experience with assessment and mapping work • Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) • Experience with mentoring and professional development We welcome your application where you describe why you are interested in the position and what you can contribute to the role.
