The Position and Your Responsibilities As a special education teacher/special pedagogue, you are an important part of making Botkyrka municipality Sweden's best school municipality, where all students have the opportunity to succeed in school and develop based on their unique circumstances. By collaborating with teachers, student support teams, guardians, and other partners, you contribute to creating coherence and continuity in students' educational journeys. Hammerstaskolan is a two-parallel F-9 school with approximately 460 students, including a municipality-wide special education group for students with language disorders. You are expected to stay updated within special education through professional development, collaborative learning, and environmental awareness. Your primary responsibilities include: - Working with students at the organizational, group, and individual levels. - Assessing, analyzing, and monitoring students' skill development. Based on collected information, you create favorable conditions for learning and participation together with teachers. - Providing guidance and support to colleagues in pedagogical and didactic work to develop inclusive learning environments and ensure students develop as much as possible both socially and academically. - Contributing specialized education expertise in the school's student support team and in collaboration with guardians and external partners. - Participating in and initiating development efforts related to the school's work on accessibility, equity, and learning. - Working with documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of interventions. - Using digital tools as a natural part of pedagogical work. Hammerstaskolan is on an exciting development journey with the goal of becoming a truly interprofessional student support team that becomes a natural and integrated part of students' daily school life. The student support team currently consists of a large group of special education teachers and special pedagogues, a combined counselor/guidance coordinator, and a school nurse. In addition, we have our important social pedagogues at the middle and upper secondary levels, who are key figures in our safety work. Together we work to strengthen both students' academic development and their well-being. We want to build systematic quality work where student support expertise is used and fully developed to create accessible, compensatory, and inclusive learning environments. About You We are looking for someone with a teaching credential for middle grades level who is trained as a special education teacher or special pedagogue. You have solid knowledge of language and skill-development approaches, accessible learning environments, and special education didactics, both in whole-class and more targeted interventions. You should work well with others, be adaptable to emerging needs and potential changes in priorities. We are looking for a team player with patience and dedication to your mission and all students' right to education. A relational approach is a natural part of how you work. The role requires strong communication skills—both oral and written—for various assignments, purposes, and audiences. Experience working in Prorenata is a plus. Start Date: By agreement.
