JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for a new Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogue with a focus on mathematics for Slottsskolan 7-9. In this role, you will teach students and mentor staff, as well as work with organizing support for educational assessments and investigations and intervention programs. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching. Your goal is to support and help students develop in the subject as far as they can. You will work in a preventive and developmental manner regarding didactic and pedagogical issues primarily within mathematics together with students and colleagues. You will also inspire students in the subject and help them understand how the theoretical parts relate to the practical. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching by working idea-driven and student-centered. You will also work to support and strengthen the knowledge of the school's teachers regarding accommodations and special support. This is to support students early and prevent the need for support from arising. As a Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogue at Slottsskolan 7-9, you are part of the school's student health team and you will work together with the school's other special education teachers, special pedagogue, teachers, and principal. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogue with competence in mathematics or/and a mathematics teacher with special education competence, alternatively a special pedagogue, and have the qualifications to teach mathematics in grades 7-9. We see that you who apply have experience of having worked as a Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogue, and it is meritorious if you have experience working with students with NPF. You have a positive attitude and find it easy to engage your students. For you, it is important to work student-centered and see each student's potential for development. You have good leadership skills and are pedagogical, and you have an understanding of people's different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. As a person, you are calm and composed in different situations and have the ability to focus on the right things and are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work. As a colleague, you have the ability to collaborate and you see opportunities in different cross-subject collaborations. As a special education teacher, you want to work idea-driven and contribute to the development of our school. You take your pedagogical assignment seriously and are well versed in the Swedish National Agency for Education's steering documents and values. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We would like to see that you have IT skills regarding knowledge assessment and results monitoring. For work with young people, an extract from the criminal record is required. The position is available subject to required decisions being made. Since it is holiday season, we are not available between weeks 28-31. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date 2026-08-03. Work time: Daytime.
