JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Special Education Teacher at Vallsjöskolan We are now seeking a special education teacher/special educator who, together with the student support team, teaching staff, and principal, will work to promote the development of all students. As a special educator/special education teacher, you are responsible for creating a positive and creative learning environment so that students feel motivated in their learning. It is important that you can meet students well and are skilled at building good relationships. You are well familiar with curriculum documents, as you will teach, assess, and develop. You will also be a support to teachers on special education matters. Your main responsibilities will be to lead support interventions at both group and individual levels based on assessments and identified needs. There are good opportunities to build a support system together with teachers and management in a way that benefits student learning. You will conduct and support teachers in pedagogical assessments and analyze student needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You participate in developing intervention plans and accommodations for students in need of support. As a special educator/teacher, you have an important and active role in the school's systematic quality improvement work and contribute to identifying, analyzing, and structuring work on student knowledge development and goal achievement. The position also involves teaching individual students and groups, and it is an asset if you are a certified special education teacher. In addition, you will have considerable contact with school staff, students, and guardians. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications Educated special educator/special education teacher.
