Your responsibilities As a special education teacher at Parkskolan, you have a central role in the school's work to create accessible learning environments and provide students with the right support at the right time. Your work focuses on strengthening students' knowledge development and creating conditions for all students to succeed in their schooling. You work closely with teachers, student support services, and school leadership to identify and analyze students' needs at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Based on this, you plan, implement, and follow up on special education interventions. You are responsible for teaching students in need of additional support, conduct assessments and evaluations, and provide guidance and consultation to colleagues regarding accommodations and additional support. The role also includes participating in the school's student support team and contributing to preventive and developmental work. Through your expertise, you are an important part of the school's development work and actively work to create instruction that meets all students' needs. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has: Teacher certification covering current subjects and grade levels. A special education teacher degree. At least four years of experience working as a teacher. Good digital literacy and experience using digital tools in teaching and documentation. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We would welcome experience in or particular interest in language and communication development work. You have good knowledge of how language's importance for learning can be made visible in instruction and how various interventions can help strengthen students' ability to reach their goals. To thrive and succeed in the role, you are someone who builds trusting relationships and creates good collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to the audience, ensuring that information reaches and is understood. You have a coaching approach and are motivated by supporting both students and colleagues in their development. As a person, you are collaborative and enjoy sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas. You see the strength in working together toward common goals and actively contribute to a positive work environment. You also have strong drive and persistence in your work. You see possibilities even when challenges arise and work purposefully to find solutions that benefit students' development.
